Algodon Reserve Cabernet Franc 2020
Never before available stateside! It is said that Mendoza is the new Loire Valley for Cabernet Franc, and this will show you why. We've carefully selected the best grapes of the harvest for a microvinification process that consists of whole grapes macerated in new French oak barrels for 60 days at a controlled temperature. This is followed by 18 months aging in oak. This is outstanding nectar with great potential for aging.
TASTING NOTES
Intense ruby color with matching reflections. It has an intense and elegant aromatic character. This wine is fruity, toasty, and mineral. Notes of ripe fruits (cherries, strawberries, and plums) are combined with hints of spices, vanilla, and tobacco. On the palate, it is smooth, structured, complex, and fresh. The finish is fresh and fruity with mature tannins. Its unique structure promises a prolonged aging potential in the bottle.
